Day-to-Day Care
To prevent harmful chemical damaging the luster of your gold jewellery, CX Jewellers recommends avoiding exposure to everyday substances such as household cleaning products, which will quickly cause gold to discolor and possibly damage the surface of the gold alloy. We recommend that you store your gold jewellery in a safe place when engaging in these activities:
Household and outdoor cleaning
Showering, bathing, or swimming in pools, hot tubs, hot springs, and the ocean.
Using lotion, hair products, and other cosmetics
Exercising at the gym or during contact sports
Between wearing’s, we recommend that you place your gold jewellery back in its CX flannel pouch for safekeeping or our CX leather case.
How to Clean Gold Jewellery
- Place your CX gold jewellery into a cleaner solution (i.e., made up of lukewarm water and mild dish soap)
- After two minutes, use a pair of tweezers to remove your jewellery from the solution.
- Gently clean behind the setting and in between crevices with a soft bristle brush to remove any debris.
- Rinse, blot dry and shine your gold with a polishing cloth.
